Huawei MatePad Pro 11″ 2024 Finally Detailed in Full; Tablet Has Two Way Satellite Connection

Huawei finally unveiled today the details concerning the MatePad Pro 11″ 2024 tablet, which stands out as the first tablet with two way satellite connection. We did cover it before, but back then specs were lacking.

Now we have them, courtesy of Huawei itself. Turns out that the Huawei MatePad Pro 11″ 2024 comes as a refresh from the 2022 model. It does keep many of the specs the same, though. The 2024 slate packs an 11 inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. One big change is the presence of a 7 nm Kirin 9000s processor inside, the same chip from the controversial Huawei Mate 60 phone.

The 2022 version used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G CPU somehow, or a Snapdragon 888. The same 8300 mAh battery of the 2022 version is back, with 66W wired charging. The camera sensors from the new model are the same as the 2022 one, meaning a 13 MP primary shooter and an 8 MP ultrawide back cam. There’s also a 16 megapixel selfie shooter for video calls.

One of the main novelties is the two way satellite connectivity feature, available via the Beidou satellite network on the 2024 model. There’s no cellular version of this model, believe it or not. The thickness remains 5.9 mm.

This slate runs on HarmonyOS 4, has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It’s priced at $604 for the basic version and $673 for the 512 GB model.
