Lenovo Yoga C930 High End Convertible Leaks Ahead of IFA 2018 Debut

It’s hard to believe that we’re only 3 weeks away from IFA 2018 already. In spite of the tablet market’s downturn, the laptop market is currently ascending and thus it’s no wonder we should be getting some nifty convertibles in Berlin at the end of the month. One of them is the Lenovo Yoga C930, which has just leaked, with some solid specs.

Lenovo is said to be unveiling this model at the end of the month, with a 13.9 inch IPS touchscreen display that offers a 4K resolution and 300 candela of brightness. This is pretty much on par with that the Lenovo Yoga 920 and Yoga 910 had to offer. We should also see the famous and iconic Lenovo Yoga watchband hinge and also support for Lenovo’s Active Pen.

Inside we’ll find an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, or the Intel Core i7-8550U. The first one is clocked at 1.6 GHz and with TurboBoost it can reach a top frequency of 3.4 GHz, while the i7 and its 4 cores will have a clock rate of 1.8 GHz and it can accelerate till 3.4 GHz. The i7 can get up to an impressive 4 GHz. Depending on the model you choose, there are 8 or 16 GB of RAM available, plus SSDs with 256 GB or 512 GB in the mix.

On the connectivity front, the Lenovo Yoga C930 offers an USB A 3.1 port and two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 ports too, for charging and data transfers. There are also other basic features, like the 3.5 mm audio jack, Gigabit WLAN with dual band support and Bluetooth 4.1, as well as a 720p webcam placed in a lower area on account of the narrow top bezel and fingerprint scanner.

Finally, there’s a 60 Whr battery, which feels like a downgrade from the 70 Whr unit of the Lenovo Yoga 920. Expect a price closer to $1800 or even $2000 if there’s a higher end version with a glass cover as rumored.
