B&N NOOK GlowLight 4 eReader Launching on December 8th, Priced at $150

Barnes & Noble are ready to launch another eReader, just in time for the long winter nights of enjoying some good reading. The newcomer is dubbed NOOK GlowLight 4 and it comes with a 6 inch E Ink display with 300 pixels per inch density, a front lit display with adjustable color temperature and USB-C charger.

It will be available in stores at the B&N website starting December 8th 2021, priced at $150. This makes it $30 more than the predecessor, NOOK GlowLight 3, but version number 4 brings 3 core upgrades:

  • double the storage: from 16 GB to 32 GB
  • USB-C port in lieu of microUSB
  • narrower bezels for more immersive reading

WiFi stays at b/g/n and the battery life is actually less impressive: up to a month of reading time on a charge, which is a downgrade from the 50 days of the GlowLight 3. By the way that model was actually a Lenovo tablet with B&N NOOK software, so I’m curious to see if the tradition carries to the NOOK 4. The last model which was made by B&N was the GlowLight Plus from 2019. It had IP certification and a 7.8 inch display.
