Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ Unveiled With Intel Core 11th Gen Processor, Up to 1 TB of SSD Storage

Microsoft also made an announcement in this CES-filled week, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ tablet, a device meant for enterprise and education customers. There are no design changes compared to the Surface Pro 7, actually there are quite a few things in common, but we also have a new gen CPU.

The new model has the same screen, dimensions and port placement. The screen is a 12.3 inch PixelSense panel with a 2746 x 1824 pixel resolution, 3:2 aspect and 10 point multitouch support. We also have an USB-C port, one USB-A, one 3.5 mm audio jack and the Surface Connect port.

The novelties are below:

  • Intel Core 11th gen CPUs starting with a Core i3 1115G4 + 8 GB of RAM and 128 SSD priced at $889
  • Intel Core 11th gen version 2 with a Core i5 1135G7 CPU, priced at $1149 and packing a Snapdragon X20 LTE modem
  • The top version is an Intel Core i7 1165G7 unit with 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of SSD storage and $2799 price tag

Surface Pro 7+ provides the option to replace the SSD and also brings a TDM (Thermal Design Model), which has been updated to allow the inclusion of a larger battery inside. The bump up makes it grow from 46.5 Wh to 50.4 Wh. It provides up to 15 hours of battery life. It runs Windows 10 and it should hit the stores on January 15th, in US at least.
