OnePlus Pad Tablet Passes JerryRigEverything Bend Test (Video)

Traditionally OnePlus phones have been rather weak when it comes to resilience to bend tests performed by JerryRigEverything, but it appears that at least one of their new devices is able to survive it. It’s the OnePlus Pad Tablet, that only recently reached Europe.

JerryRigEverything even got a special stylus compatible with the device, to play with. It looks like the Apple Pencil or the S-Pen and features copper on the inside, plus a magnetic col used for charging. It has interchangeable tips bundled and can attach to the side of the device. Regarding the resilience test, it starts with the classic metallic/diamond tips that Zach uses to scratch screens.

The slate’s display scratches at a level 6 on the Mohs scale. The body is made of aluminum and quite easy to scratch with a cutter, possibly also coins, even though it’s not a relevant test, as it’s not a pocketable machine. But the most interesting bit is definitely the bend test. Even though the slate can bend pretty hard when pressured, it doesn’t crack and it stays functional.

Its waistline is just 6.5 mm, making it all the more impressive. It flexes, but the frame and screen stay usable. The product has a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 2K 11.61 inch display. It’s priced at 499 euro.
