OPPO Pad 2 Gets Benchmarked in GeekBench, Found to Have Snapdragon 888 CPU

The OPPO Pad 2 has been the topic of leaks once or twice till now and today we learn more about it. The future slate is going to have a lesser CPU than expected. Instead of getting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or even a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 we’re going to get a chipset from 2 years ago.

The OPPO Pad 2 is going to have a Snapdragon 888 chipset inside, in spite of previous leaks mentioning a powerful MediaTek Dimensity. The new slate has been spotted in the GeekBench database. Also known as OPPO Tab 2 or POD2201, the device brings a small upgrade from the OG model with a Snapdragon 870 unit. There was also the OPPO Pad Air with a Snapdragon 680, by the way.

According to GeekBench, the newcomer has 8 GB of RAM and Android 13. A 3C certification shows that the new unit has 67W fast charging, which is double the original’s speed of charging. We don’t have intel on battery capacity, but rumors did mention a 9500 mAh battery at some point. The Bluetooth SIG agency has certified support for Bluetooth 5.3 at some point.

According to some other unconfirmed data, the tablet will feature an 11.6 inch 144 Hz IPS LCD display with a 2800 x 2000 pixel resolution. However, they’re the same source that spoke of a Dimensity 9000 processor, so we can’t take them for granted.
