Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Wi-Fi Gets Its Last Update, to One UI 5.0

Samsung has been the most prolific company when it comes to updating its phones and tablets to Android 13. Now they’re also bringing the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite up to speed, serving it with the One UI 5.0 and Android 13 update.

By the way this is the very last update that the device will receive during its lifetime. Also, we’re talking here about the Wi-Fi version of the machine, as the 4G one got the update earlier this week. I should probably also mention it’s the 2020 model, since there was also a 2022 unit launched. SM-P610 is its codename. The update includes the November security patch, but also a new lockscreen customization menu.

There are also stacked widgets for the homescreen, a redesigned Recent Apps screen with improved animations and a new “Connected Devices” menu in the Settings app. We also get an improved color palette integration for customizing the homescreen and app icons, plus more. The system becomes more stable and the performance is better in One UI 5.0. Privacy and security have a new dedicated center and we also have improvements for automations and Routines.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite came out in May 2020, with an Exynos 9611 processor, 10.4 inch LCD screen and 4 GB of RAM. It has 64 or 128 GB of storage and an 8 MP main camera, plus 5 MP front shooter.
