Microsoft Surface Go 4 2 in 1 Tablet Announced, Now Exclusive for Businesses

Microsoft held a pretty big event yesterday, a Surface-focused one, during which it unveiled the Surface Studio Laptop 2 and also the Surface Laptop Go 3, as well as a tablet. The tablet is a budget Surface Go 4, that is now selling only to businesses.

The device packs a more powerful processor and a design that’s identical to the Surface Go 3. This 2 in 1 model adopts a four core Intel N200 processor and uses 8 GB of RAM instead of the 4 GB of the predecessor. Storage starts at 64 GB, but there are also options with 128 GB or 256 GB. The exterior design hasn’t changed much and the Surface Go 4 has the same USB-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack and microSD card reader as the Go 3.

It adopts two 1080p cameras and a 10.5 inch screen with a 1920 x 1280 pixel resolution. Inside there have been redesigns for the kickstand, battery, motherboard, display, in order to make them easier to repair. The folks of The Verge already did a hands on with the device and claim it’s rather slow, even in everyday tasks such as web browsing.

The product will be on sale from October 3rd, with the prices starting at $579 for the 64 GB storage model. Once again, “available exclusively for organizations”.
