OPPO Pad 2 Unveiled: 144 Hz Screen Gaming Tablet With MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Processor

After quite a few leaks and teasers, OPPO unveiled yesterday its brand new tablet, the OPPO Pad 2. Let’s face it: it’s pretty much a OnePlus Pad rebranding, especially considering the 144 Hz screen and the shape of the back camera.

The OPPO Pad 2 packs an 11.6 inch IPS LCD LTPS screen with a 2000 x 2800 pixel resolution. It also has a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 7:5 aspect, which provides lots of vertical content and it’s also useful for multitasking. The processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000, which is accompanied by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of storage, of the UFS 3.1 variety.

There’s no microSD card slot here. We also find a 13 megapixel main camera and a front camera for videocalls, with 8 MP resolution. Software-wise we get Android 13, with a specially customized UI called ColorOS for Pad. The device supports the OPPO Pencil 2 stylus and also has a keyboard sold separately. The stylus provides 2 ms latency and 4096 levels of pressure.

The 9510 mAh battery charges at 67W. There’s also Wi-Fi 6, quad speakers, everything in a 6.54 mm thick body, that weighs 552 grams. The tablet is sold in the hues Nebula Grey and Feather Gold. The starting price is $436 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage unit.
