OPPO Pad Air 2 Launched: Sub $200 Tablet With Quad Speakers, Big Battery

OPPO had a pretty big even yesterday, during which it unveiled the Reno11 devices, but they weren’t alone. There was also the OPPO Pad Air 2 tablet, which is priced below $200 and comes with some decent midrange specs.

The device is in fact the OnePlus Pad Go rebranded for the Chinese market. The slate has a typical OnePlus design, with a round camera module at the back side, placed dead center at the top. It’s an upgrade from the first Pad Air, bringing an 11.4 inch LCD display with a 7:5 ratio. The resolution is 2408 x 1720 pixels and the 10 bit panel supports up to 90 Hz refresh rate.

The battery inside is an 8000 mAh unit, with up to 33W charging. The Pad Air2 is promoted as fit for a younger audience, thanks to the ColorOS for Pad features: customizable taskbar, smart file galleries, multi finger gestures. Keep in mind that this device is Wi-Fi only, no 4G. It also has Dolby Atmos and quad speakers with 86 decibels of loudness. It also has a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, stylus support, microSD card slot and two 8 MP cameras, one back and one front.

The product will start selling on November 25th. It’s on preorder right now with a starting price of $150, for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
