POCO Pad 5G Tablet Has 12.1 Inch Screen, Launching in India Soon
POCO is finally making an affordable tablet, after another Xiaomi spinoff, Redmi showed us how it could be done. The POCO Pad 5G is the company’s first tablet in India and it will be launched on August 23rd, at 12 PM.
This info was confirmed by POCO itself, or better said Himanshu, Country Head of POCO India. The tablet is promoted as ideal for “binging”, creating and getting stuff done”. There’s support for a stylus and also a keyboard according to the official promo images. The POCO Pad is actually a familiar face, being introduced globally back in May.
It features a 12.1 inch 2.5K+ 120 Hz LCD display and uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, with up to 8 GB of RAM to accompany it. There’s also a generous 10.000 mAh battery inside, with support for up to 33W fast charging. It’s similar to the Redmi Pad Pro, which already made it to India a few weeks ago.
We’re curious to see if both the Wi-Fi and 5G models will make it there, as the image only shows the POCO Pad 5G. The device has both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, plus the latest version of HyperOS. Globally, the price was $300 and the keyboard was $80, while the stylus was $60.
