Vivo Pad 2 Announced: 144 Hz Tablet With MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Processor

Vivo announced a series of new devices yesterday, including the likes of vivo X Flip, their first foldable clamshell phone, but also a brand new tablet, the Vivo Pad 2. The device has some elements in common with the OPPO Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad, but it’s definitely no rebranding.

We’re dealing with a 12.1 inch LCD slate with a resolution of 2.8K pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. There’s also HDR10 support and 600 nits of brightness tops. The device is compatible with a stylus and a keyboard, with the latter being able to attach easily to the side of the device. Vivo Pad 2 has a simulation writing engine, that mimics real writing with pen on paper.

There are also quad speakers on board, with two tweeters that produce sound output up to 6W. The device also has a metallic unibody design, with a light and slim form factor. Vivo Pad 2 uses a circular camera module and houses a 13 megapixel primary sensor and a 2 MP Macro lens, together with a LED flash unit. It also has an 8 MP selfie camera.

Inside we find the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, together with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also relies on a 10.000 mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Vivo Pad 2 runs on Android 13 and OriginOS 3 and it will be priced starting at $348 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version.
